Wildcat Mountain Trail Race is a tough “up and over” mountain run using the historic Wildcat ski trail system. There will be two races run (hiked) simultaneously, the 5K course cuts across mid-across mid-mountain along the rolling “Catwalk” while the 5 mile course keeps climbing to Wildcat’s 4,062 ft summit before heading back down on the Upper Catapult – both courses finishing along the “Wildkitten”.
The race is typically held the end of June.
It’s a non-certified trail run with chip timing from New England Timing and there will be awards for the kid’s division and men and women’s divisions by age.
During the race, there will be kid-friendly activities, including face-painting, games, and a nature-walk to Thompson Falls. After the race, there will be live music, a beer garden, and a BBQ on the deck of the base lodge at the finish line hosted by Peak Resorts. BBQ discounts for runners and family.
All proceeds from this event are for the benefit of Wildcat Mountain Alpine Education Foundation.
